Covid-19 took a toll on the tourism industry, things are now slowly coming back on the track. Finally, after months, travelers from the Middle Eastern countries can now travel to Thailand with the introduction of the “TR” tourist visa which allow tourists to stay in the country for up to 60 days for the purpose of tourism. Keeping in mind the safety of tourists, the tourism industry in Thailand has enhanced its facilities and standards to ensure health and safety of the travelers from the Middle East.
Visitors traveling to Thailand from the Middle East by booking flights to Thailand under the TR tourist visa must comply with all the Covid-19 preventive measures and guidelines. Under this, it is mandatory for visitors to go under 14 days quarantine period upon arrival. They must also carry a medical and travel insurance with a coverage of at least 1,00,000 $ along with a bank statement that shows income in the last six months equivalent to 16336 $. After spending the quarantine period of 14 days and showing negative for coronavirus, travelers can freely travel anywhere in Thailand. The main focus of the TR visa is to boost up international travel in the country after the successful launch of domestic travel in Thailand and the STV long stay tourist visa.
