The trekking team picks you up from your hotel in Cusco around 4:30 am on the 1st day of your 3 nights 4 days Machu Picchu adventure tour package, and after a 3-hour drive to KM. 82, you'll start the Inca Trail. The first two-hour hike takes you to Patallacta, giving stunning views of the ancient city, and thereafter a two-hour hike to Hatunchaca where lunch will be served by the trekking chef. Another two-hour hike to the first campsite in Ayapata will follow, where dinner will be served.
After your wake-up call, you'll begin the challenging trek, with a four-hour uphill hike to Dead Woman’s Pass, the highest point on the trail, followed by a two-hour downhill trek to Pacaymayo Valley for lunch. Then, explore two Inca sites, before reaching the second campsite at Chaquicocha for sunset, stargazing, and dinner on your Machu Picchu adventure trip package.
Today is the easiest day of the Inca Trail trek, taking only 5 hours of walking. You will see different ecosystems and enjoy the cloud forest while visiting Inca sites such as Phuyupatamarca and Intipata. After lunch, there is free time at the final campsite before visiting the Wiñay Wayna site and returning for dinner and a surprise.
On the final day, wake up early to visit Machu Picchu. Walk to the Sun Gate for stunning views and watch the sunrise on a clear day. Enjoy a 2-hour tour before exploring on your own or climbing Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. Take a bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and return to Cusco via train and bus, ending the Machu Picchu adventure vacation package.
